Play Date, 11-29-2007

Emma got to go and play with a few of her friends today, 11-29-2007, and she had a great time.

And the baby is a.............

BOY!!!

We had our sonogram this morning and our instinct saying it was a girl was way wrong.....the baby is a BOY!!!! Everything appears to be developing normally, working like it should and she said that the due date is still on/around April 9, 2008. The name we have picked out is Conner Glen Tams. The baby is approximately 12 ounces and his little foot (shown in the top picture) is only about the size of the tip of one's pinkie!!! The bottom picture is a profile picture. He was being VERY active today both during my regular appointment with the midwife and also during the sonogram. When the midwife was trying to get the heartbeat Conner kept moving around, kicking and was ALL over the place. She spent a good 10 minutes trying to "chase" down a heartbeat and the lady doing the sonogram had her work cut out for her too trying to get a good picture as he was all over the place.

Putting Up The Christmas Tree

Last year Emma could only watch us put up the tree from her bouncer however this year she was right in the middle of the action!! Emma helped Daddy put the star on top. Later on she was playing peek-a-boo from behind the tree.

1st "Pebbles" Ponytail

I was FINALLY able to get Emma's hair in a ponytail -- looks more like Pebbles from the Flinstones. Over the weekend we bought an array of toddler sized hair ties, etc. The one in her hair was just one I had laying around the house which was too big. I have been waiting for this day for a very long time!!!! :o) 11.16.2007

Doctor Visit

I took Emma in to the pediatrician today as she has not been feeling very well and has been playing with her ears more than usual and having a little bit of a low grade fever and sure enough she has an ear infection. They prescribed her some Amoxicillin and hopefully she'll get to feeling better very soon.

PS -- Emma has graduated from having to be weighed on the infant scale to being able to stand still on the big kid scale.....and she weighed in at 23.3 pounds.

Playing In The Bathroom Sink.

Emma loves being in the bathroom with Mommy when Mommy is trying to get ready. I usually let her sit on the vanity (in this case she crawled into the sink) to help me.

We were in the bathroom again and I turned the water on to a trickle so she could put her toes under the water. She ended up sitting in the wet sink in her PJ'S so I just stripped her down and let her have fun splashing around in the sink for a little bit longer! Might as well have fun in the sink while she can because pretty soon she'll be too big!!! Here's a few more pics I got......

Emma going down the slide @ the park

I know these look really bad but I didn't think she was REALLY going to go down the big slide head-first but she is proving to be a little dare devil! She wasn't hurt and was very quick to get right back up. She just had a bunch of sand that we had to wipe off the front of her!!! She enjoyed it so much that she wanted me to help her get back up to the top of the slide to go down again which is in the 2nd video clip!!!!! Grandpa Randy -- I don't think we're going to have any problems getting her to drive a Junior Dragster Car in 7 more years!!!!! PS - I think we'll stick to her going down our little toddler sized slide we have in our yard until she gets just a little bit bigger.

We still have our pumpkins sitting on the front porch and Emma loves to try picking them up!
She tried to sit on this one since she couldn't quite manage to get it picked up.

Raking Leaves

I decided that since it was a fairly nice day to take Emma outside and rake up a leaf pile for her to play in.
She enjoyed carrying around the rake instead of jumping in the leaves.

Morning Nap

With the new time change what used to be Emma getting up around 7:30am has now turned into 6 or 6:30am.....she finally dozed off this morning and took about a 20 minute cat nap.

Fun At The Park, 11-01-2007

Emma likes to swing....her legs are now long enough she can drag the tips of her shoes through the sand.

Playing Outside, 11-01-2007

Emma liked walking through the leaves, I think she liked hearing them crunch under her as she would walk through a bunch. Emma stomping in the leaves.
As we were walking back home she kept looking down and I was trying to figure out what exactly she was doing....she was trying to walk on her shadow then she moved over in front of me and was trying to walk on mommy's shadow.
