Daisy Girl Scouts
Today, Emma's Daisy Girl Scout Troop got to earn a badge on being courageous. The Rossville volunteer firefighters did a great presentation for the girls and answered all their questions.

Weight Loss Progress Pics...
OK, as most of you know I have been on a "diet" (I prefer to say lifestyle change) since January 2012. To date I have lost 47.4 pounds. The picture on the left is my work badge picture taken close to the date I began my new lifestyle and the right picture was taken earlier this week. I still have a LONG way to go but I wanted my family and friends to see my progress this far. I also wanted to say "thank you" to all of you who have been encouraging me along the way. It's no secret that I have always struggled with my weight so for me to be feeling more confident in myself & putting this out here is a huge accomplishment for me!

1st Attempt at No Training Wheels

1st Day of School 2012-2013
Emma & Conner's 1st day of school was today. Neither one of them wanted their pictures taken this morning...little stinkers!!!! Sounds like they both had a GREAT 1st day!!!

Daisy Girl Scouts on Parade
Today was the annual Tall Corn Festival Parade and the Daisy Girl Scout troop paired up with the Boy Scout Troop to hand out American flags and informational fliers about the new Daisy troop being formed. Emma obviously woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning because she did NOT want her picture taken!!!!

Conner's Surgery
Conner's pre-op wait....glad we brought along the games!!
After his surgery it took him some time to finally wake up. After he threw up (side effect of the anesthesia) he felt a lot better.
Ready to go home!!!!
Conner had his tonsils removed, his adenoids removed (again), extra tissue in his nasal cavity removed and while they were in there they also slit a little piece of the tissue that holds the front of the tongue down (that procedure is supposed to help with his speech which was a separate issue from his swollen tonsils). The staff was great and we are praying for a speedy recovery for our little guy.
