Benefit Ride

Today our town had a benefit motorcycle ride and auction for a local family. Here is a short video clip of just a fraction of the motorcycles that participated!!! We would guess there was around 70+ motorcycles. Since we live pretty much right across the street from the bar you can imagine our little area looked like a mini-Sturgis.

Today Sara's employer hosted a Family Fun Day at the zoo....we got free admission to the zoo, free lunch (hot dogs, drink and chips), free train ride and carousel rides. We had a blast and it was very nice that we went together and had a fun family outing.

Medication Allergy

Well, we have discovered Emma is allergic to amoxicillin (penicillin family). On Saturday, September 6th I took her in to a minor med place because she was running a fever that Tylenol really didn't help much with. She ended up having a double ear infection so they started her on amoxicillin. About a week later on Sunday, September 14th I was in the process of giving her a bath and noticed 2-3 new spots on her but just thought it might have been bug bites. I later went to work and then Lewis called me in the evening and said that she had a rash or chicken pox (we weren't sure at the time) that was all over her tummy, back, legs and arms and she was itching really bad. Monday morning I called her doctors office and they got us right in and immediately the nurse practitioner said it was an allergic reaction we're assuming was caused by her amoxicillin (since we hadn't given her anything different in her diet). The nurse practitioner looked in her ears and said that the ear infection was cleared up so she had us discontinue the amoxicillin. Emma's rash is still there but it's not near as bad, it's slowly disappearing.

Anyway, that's the latest in our household....I will try to get some more pictures posted in the near future.

Today we also purchased a Jumperoo from a friend of mine and we got it home and tested it out....big sister was showing him how it works!

Later this morning....

After the toddler open gym we decided to take the kids to the mall to the children's play place as they do have things for them to crawl on. The kids enjoyed themselves very much and as you can tell by the last picture .... they were pooped afterwards!!!

Toddler Open Gym

Today the Parks & Recreation put on an open gym for toddlers to come and play. We thought there was going to be large tumbling mats, tunnels, etc but all they had was a bunch of balls. Oh well, the kids had a blast!!!!! I had Emma, Conner & the little girl I watch and we met up a friend and her 2 little guys that are close in age to each of my kids!!! We had fun!
