Yesterday (08.29.2007) we discovered Emma has her 7th tooth coming in next to her bottom 2 teeth! Before long she'll have a mouth full of little chompers!

Emma was eating her dinner and it got very quiet so I peeked around the corner and found her in her typical sleeping position in her high chair.

She wasn't to sure about this ride-on toy. She's a little small for it still.

Our Little Rock Star!

The little piano we got Emma for her birthday has a microphone attached. Here she is "jammin' out!"
She loves to push buttons and this piano has a lot on there to push. She stays very entertained with playing around on the piano.
Really enjoying herself and performing for Mommy!

Emma's 1-Year Checkup

Hello All,

Emma had her 1 year checkup and shots today. Here are her growth stats:

Height: 30.5 inches - 90th percentile

Weight: 21.2 pounds - 50th percentile

Head Circumference: 44.5 cm - 25th percentile

The pediatrician was very happy with her growth and development. We are very blessed to have such a happy, healthy child. She's not a very happy camper right now though -- she had to have a total of 5 shots in her legs today!!! I don't blame her for being fussy -- I would be too!

Unfortunately, it's been so hot outside we don't get out much.

She was rubbing her hands through the grass....something she doesn't get to feel very often.
Oh that morning sun is bright!
Grandma Kathleen & Grandpa Larry came down to visit us over the weekend. We had a great time. They took me to the parade downtown and Grandpa let me crawl all over him like a little monkey. Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for everything!

Emma's 1st Birthday Cake

With Emma's first birthday cake, they gave us a 4" cake for her to eat all by herself. She didn't quite know how to "dig in."
Then she went in for a big bite!
"YUMMY!"
Finger-lickin' good!
Amazingly enough, she didn't get that much on her clothes. Emma had fun getting messy with her birthday cake and we all enjoyed watching her.

Fun Car Ride

We picked up a balloon order for Emma's birthday party and had to put them in the backseat with Emma and she had a WONDERFUL time playing with them all the way home.

Lovies...

While at Grandma Nancy & Grandpa Randy's house Saturday, Emma was given a toy cat to play with and she kept giving it "lovies."

After eating lunch today we found Emma in this position and the first thing I could think of is -- she looks just like her Uncle John. He used to always have a thumb in his mouth and twisting his hair. :o)

Emma's 1st swim in a BIG pool....

Tonight, 07.13.2007, we took Emma to her Great-Aunt Margie's house and swam in her underground pool. Emma had a VERY fun time splashing around and she took right to the water.
