Eating Jello With A Spoon

On occasion, we've been giving Emma a spoon to eat with. Right now she gets more food on her and her tray than she does in her mouth!!! She knows what the spoon is for, it's just going to take some practice.

Little Monkey In The Window

Emma has recently become our little monkey -- climbing onto anything she can. Here, Daddy caught her sitting in the window just like our kitty cats.

Little Dare Devil

Emma thought she would try going 'up' the slide.
Steady.....
Then later on she decided to go 'down' the slide head first. She's quite the little dare devil and she's also learned how to get up on our dining room table!!! She's our little monkey!

A Beautiful Day To Play

Emma's 1st Trip to a Pumpkin Patch

1st OB Appointment, 10-03-2007

Hi All,

We had our 1st OB appointment this morning and everything seems to be going well. The midwife was unable to locate a heartbeat so they sent us for a fetal heart check by sonogram. Here's a picture we got (sorry that it's not very clear). It shows the heartbeat was 164 beats per minute (which the gal who did the sonogram says that is normally what little girl heartbeats run). She said that the reason the midwife was unable to detect a heartbeat was because the baby was behind my pelvic bone. You can see the baby towards the center of the picture inside the dark "blob." She also said that my dates are correct, that the due date is still at/around April 9, 2008.

Parade Queen

We participated in a parade this weekend in Grandpa Larry's Chevelle and won 1st place in the miscellaneous category. In the car was Daddy, Grandpa Larry, Great-great Aunt Lois and Emma. Emma was waving & pointing at everyone, just like a little parade queen!!

Emma's 1st ride in a Hot Wheels.

Emma's 1st time in a Power Wheels.
She really had a fun time and didn't want to get out even though by the expression on her face she seems to be a little scared....she really did have a great time.

Emma in a playhouse at the park.
In the jungle, the mighty jungle. There is a large lion statue in the park and we put Emma on it wondering what she would do and she started bouncing up and down like she was riding a real-life animal.

Emma's 1st PB&J

In the past we've always just given Emma a jelly sandwich because I was afraid to give her peanut butter due to the possibility of food allergies. Today I mixed the peanut butter in with the jelly and she chowed right down and seemed to enjoy it without any problems -- and it made a big mess as you can tell!!!!

The Mall Play Place

We went to the local mall today and they have a fairly new children's play place that is all padded and perfect for Emma's age group! She had a blast playing with all the other kiddos that were there. There were 2 other girls very close in age and they stuck together pretty good! It was cute watching them all play.

She attempted to start climbing through but changed her mind.

Daddy caught Emma in this drawer on our entertainment center. It's the only cabinet that doesn't have a lock on it and we keep it empty just for her.

This was Emma's 1st time at Chuck E Cheeses for a little girls 4th Birthday Party. Emma had a GREAT time running around and she really liked the rides (even though they didn't move because they ate our tokens).
