Our Everyday Wonderful Life!
Unfortunately, it's been so hot outside we don't get out much.

She was rubbing her hands through the grass....something she doesn't get to feel very often.
Oh that morning sun is bright!
Grandma Kathleen & Grandpa Larry came down to visit us over the weekend. We had a great time. They took me to the parade downtown and Grandpa let me crawl all over him like a little monkey. Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for everything!
Emma being a little ham for the camera. She's getting really good at holding still and smiling whenever the camera is in her face!!! LOL.
Today we turned Emma's car seat around so she is now facing forward! She seems to like it MUCH better!!!!

Here she is taking a couple of steps all by herself!!!!
With Emma's first birthday cake, they gave us a 4" cake for her to eat all by herself. She didn't quite know how to "dig in."
Then she went in for a big bite!
"YUMMY!"

Amazingly enough, she didn't get that much on her clothes. Emma had fun getting messy with her birthday cake and we all enjoyed watching her.
We picked up a balloon order for Emma's birthday party and had to put them in the backseat with Emma and she had a WONDERFUL time playing with them all the way home.
This is a typical sleeping position for Emma. Anytime her hands go up behind her head, we know she's sleepy!
We bought Emma this princess chair for one of her birthday gifts and just let her have it early.

While at Grandma Nancy & Grandpa Randy's house Saturday, Emma was given a toy cat to play with and she kept giving it "lovies." 
She really had a good squeeze on the kitty cat.
After eating lunch today we found Emma in this position and the first thing I could think of is -- she looks just like her Uncle John. He used to always have a thumb in his mouth and twisting his hair. :o)

Emma likes to be a little monkey and crawl all over her Daddy when he is laying on the floor.
Daddy found Emma had crawled into our box of shoes we keep by the door.
She couldn't quite figure out how to get out of the box.
"Daddy, help me!"
Tonight, 07.13.2007, we took Emma to her Great-Aunt Margie's house and swam in her underground pool. Emma had a VERY fun time splashing around and she took right to the water.
"Mommy was playing dress up with me." 
Emma really likes her apple juice.
We went outside this morning and blew bubbles.....this bubble ended up popping on her nose -- it was so cute the little face she made afterwards.
"Mommy, come here."

Mommy & Daddy FINALLY found a baby gate that would fit in the doorway to the kitchen.
Over the weekend Emma learned how to walk behind her little walker without Mommy or Daddy holding on to help her out.
Now she zooms everywhere with it!
Mommy and I went to go see some baby ducks at Mommy's friends house.
They were only 5 days old.
Emma kept wanting to get in the water....if I would have had her swimsuit I might have just let her get in there with them!
